What our Clients Say
Paul at E-Step Ltd has supported SKF for over seven years and has been a key partner in implementing appropriate optimised maintenance and reliability practices at client sites. He has proved to be dedicated and knowledgeable, and is able to work in both a tactical and strategic manner. Paul is always keen to share his experiences when delivering training and is able to empathise with technicians and operators to gain their support and engagement; he is a people person. He always delivers his projects on time and within budget, and is welcomed back to all his clients.
Over the past 6 years Paul at E-Step Ltd has played a key part in applying Asset Care Management principles to our evolving business needs, adapting and developing these principles to align with strategic business goals. Our business is richer for adopting an RCA process, a tailored criticality and failure modes effects analysis process, modern maintenance practices, undergoing benchmarking studies to measure and show incremental statistical improvement all delivered and facilitated by Paul in partnership with the business. Paul’s diverse working background and knowledge enables him with the ability to communicate at all levels within a business from the Boardroom to the shop floor, providing a methodical approach to actual industrial challenges that every business faces in an effort to add value and efficiency in whatever field they operate.
Paul and the team at E-Step Ltd supported Morson Projects and ACKtiv Nuclear (a joint venture between Atkins, Carillion and Jacobs) on a key Sellafield project by leading and delivering the Throughput, Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (T-RAM) studies as part of the Design/EPCM process. This process gives Sellafield assurance and confidence that the equipment will perform the design function to the required standard over the operational phase of the life cycle. The analysis conducted by E-Step Ltd highlighted to the design team, reliability ‘pinch points’ and high risk areas within the design package. These could then be reviewed and risk reduction applied prior to installation and commissioning. The team at E-Step Ltd proved to be knowledgeable, professional and adaptable to changes in the project scope. In my new capacity at Cumbria O&M Services (COMS) I am once again looking forward to engaging with E-Step Ltd to provide their knowledge and experience on major nuclear projects.
Paul at E-Step Ltd played a key role as a trainer and mentor to the Norske Skog maintenance and engineering staff of 45 tradesmen and engineers. His experience, insight, teaching style, and course materials were a key element in the establishment of a baseline understanding of maintenance excellence in the pursuit of improved reliability at New Zealand’s largest paper mill. The improvement in plant availability and reduction of maintenance costs are directly related to E-Step’s services and inspiration.
